4-H International Exchange Program
It is a student exchange program that emphasizes agriculture and development in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and the South Pacific.  This organization provides exchange and hosting opportunities for high school students and families.  The students must live and work with the host family.

Abbey Road: Overseas Programs
Interested in spending a summer in Europe? This program provides high school students an opportunity to study for a summer in Europe.

American Cultural Exchange Service (ACES)
ACES is a non-profit organization that offers hosting, student exchanges in China, and teacher and coach exchanges. The teacher exchanges range from preschool to high school.

AFS Intercultural Programs
AFS Intercultural Programs is an international, non-governmental, non-profit organization that provides intercultural learning opportunities for high school students around the globe. Designed to help young people develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to "create a more just and peaceful world," AFS fosters experiences that leave their more than 370,000 program alumni feeling compelled to act as responsible global citizens.

American Institute for Foreign Study
This program makes available opportunities to study abroad for teachers and high school students.

Amideast
Exchange opportunities in the Middle East for students and teachers are offered through this non-profit program.

ASSIST
ASSIST is a non-profit educational and cultural exchange organization that provides student and teacher exchanges, and hosting opportunities in Sweden, Spain, China, Australia, Eastern and Central Europe, and most of Asia.

Association of Teen Age Diplomats
The Association of Teen Age Diplomats is a non-profit organization that coordinates international exchanges in France, Germany, Peru, Israel, Italy, Mali, Poland, Russia, and Turkey for high school students and hosting for families.

AYUSA: Global Youth Exchange
Opportunities for high school students to participate in oversea education programs and hosting international exchange students are outlined on this web site.

The China Exchange Initiative
The China Exchange Initiative(CEI) focuses primarily on exchange and job shadowing project between Chinese and American school administrators. Each October, principals from China travel to the United States to attend lectures on American education, shadow partner principals or superintendents on the job, live with host families, visit classes, and participate in a variety
of school and community events. In the spring, their American counterparts travel to China to participate on the other side of the experience. CEI Currently has six projects working with educators and others in 17 states in the U.S. and with education bureaus for 13 provinces in China.

Coverdell World Wise Schools
On this site, you will find information on the integration of the Peace Corps experience and study of the world’s regions, history, and current events. Additionally elements are designed to promote service learning.

DM Discoveries
This is a visitor exchange program that provides opportunities to host international high school students from over 25 countries.

EF Educational Tours
EF Educational Tours is the world's largest private education company, with a group of 15 subsidiaries and non-profit organizations centered around language learning, educational travel, cultural exchange, and academic programs. Offering children the opportunity to travel the world as young as age six, EF facilitates travel for thousands of students and teachers around the globe every year. Plus, teachers travel free!

EF Foundation for Foreign Study
The EF Foundation for Foreign Study is an organization that focuses on international student exchange programs. They provide hosting opportunities to American families for an academic year or semester.

Eastern States Student Exchange (ESSEX)
ESSEX is part of the Rotary Youth Exchange program. They offer student exchanges and hosting opportunities. There are also scholarships available for those who qualify.

Foreign Links Around the Globe (FLAG)
FLAG is a student exchange organization that has hosting and high school student exchange services around the globe for an academic year, semester or summer. Certain programs require language skills.

Foundation for Intercultural Travel
The Foundation for Intercultural Travel is a non-profit educational organization that specializes in student exchanges with foreign countries. They have academic exchanges and cultural exchanges. There are also opportunities to host international students. There are language requirements and they will vary with each program and location.

Foundation for Worldwide Int’l Student Exchange (WISE)
This organization offers international exchange opportunities for students, youth, and adults. They have hosting opportunities for US families ranging from short term, farm/ranchstays, and academic homestays. There also have study abroad options in multiple countries for US high school students.

International Cultural Exchange Services (ICES)
ICES works to increase awareness of the world around us by providing American families students from all around the world to host for an academic year or semester.  

International Student Exchange (ISE)
ISE offers American families opportunities to host international exchange students from over 55 countries for an academic year or semester.

North West Student Exchange (NWSE)
NWSE is a non-profit international high school exchange organization. They offer multiple programs for high school students to participate in exchanges in France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, the UK, Mexico, and Spain. Their families also have the opportunity to host a student. There is also a partner school exchange program.

Pacific Intercultural Exchange
Students interested in hosting a student from another country or becoming an international exchange student will find a wealth of information from Pacific International Exchange.

Puentes/Bridges Cultural Immersion Trip
Puentes/Bridges is a cultural exchange organization that focuses on sending farmers or anyone else who employs Mexican workers, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire or River Falls students majoring in agriculture or other related fields, and people in the law enforcement, medical, religion/church, and educational fields. The exchange is ten days long and focuses on immersing the individual in Mexican culture and customs. Visits to local farms, historical and archeological sites are part of tours and lectures given by experts in Mexican history and culture. Included in the trip is a three night homestay with a host family. During the homestay, you will attend intensive Spanish classes. You will also visit the families of the employees of the trip participants. The next trip is scheduled for November 28-December 7.

Quest International
Quest is a non-profit international exchange program that offers hosting and study abroad programs for high school students in Europe, Brazil, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and China. American families interested in hosting an exchange student have the opportunity to host a student for an academic year or a few weeks in the summer.

South Central Rotary Youth Exchange, Inc.
South Central Rotary Youth offers long term exchange and study abroad programs as well as short term, summer programs. There is also the opportunity for American families to host an international high school student.  

STS Foundation
The STS Foundation specializes in international student exchanges. There are opportunities to host a student as well as study abroad in European countries, New Zealand, and South Africa for US high school students. There are language requirements for certain programs in Europe.

Student American International
This organization offers hosting and exchange opportunities all over the globe for American families and high school students. They do require students to have taken language classes and posses a certain level of fluency depending on the program.

Youth For Understanding USA (YFU USA)
YFU USA is a home stay program for students ages 15-19, with summer, semester and year opportunities to over 40 countries. They also offer over 300 scholarships per year to American students traveling overseas on their programs.

Terra Lingua
Terra Lingua offers language education through hosting and student exchange opportunities in France, Spain, Germany/Austria, Canada, and Russia. They also have group travel programs available for students and their teachers. A student must have two years of language experience of the country they are planning on studying in.

World Experience
World Experience is an organization specializing in hosting and student exchanges all over the globe. Each student is required to participate in a homestay.  

World Heritage
World Heritage is an international student exchange program for hosting international students from all around the globe.

World Link, Inc.
World Link provides international cultural exchange opportunities for students and host families. The student exchanges are agricultural programs. They also have a school linkage program that links US high schools with foreign high schools. The schools will have the opportunity to send students to the partner school for a few weeks in the summer.
